“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love.” – Romans 8:38
Heavenly Father, I need your comfort as I am feeling lonely. Help me to remember that Jesus often went away to a lonely place to talk with you. Even when I feel lonely and depressed, You are never far from me, for nothing can separate me from the love of God. In fact, help me to see loneliness as a gift, for it helps me to draw closer to Christ and grow in my relationship with You.
Sometimes, even though I feel You are far from me, I choose to stand on your promise that You still love me and are holding my hand. You are for me, and not against me. Help me walk in the confidence of that promise today. In Jesus’ name, I will reach full spiritual stature with or without a spouse. This loneliness will soon pass, and You will give me the grace and strength to see me through this trial. I thank you and praise you with all my heart. Amen.
